Scrap around the World Challenge and Swirlydoos January Round Robin

Wow, this will be my last LO for the year.  And I've been AWOL for quite a while.  Its amazing how time gets away from you and Christmas time.

This is my entry for scrap around the world December 2013 Challenge 8 and the Swirlydoos Round Robin challenge for January, the twist is "something new".

How gorgeous are the colors?  I loved the pastels and my fav color combo is purple and yellow.
This is a LO of our beautiful new puppy "Lily",  She is a groodle or Poodle X Golden Retriever.  And she is going to be soooo big.

I used maja design papers, I'm in love with them, I cut all the paper on my "xmas present" a silhouette cameo.  I'm in love with that too. LOL.
The beaded chain bling is from My 2 Angels, an aussie based scrapbook store.  The resin is prima... I think.
And the rest is just from my stash.
Here are some close-ups

Time to go do some more crafty stuff, until next time,  see ya later!!!

The color room Challenge pallette #162

The colors in the palette are stunning,  I had so much fun creating a LO for this challenge.

This is a pic of my little girl a few years ago exploring the garden at a family xmas party.
I used Maja Design paper,  my fav papers.  The chipboard pieces are from Twiddlybitz that I painted with gesso, then randomly applied color with a chalk ink pad.
I fussy cut some flowers, the lovely vintage lady and the clock in the top right corner.
All the flowers are handmade, except the cream ones which I pulled apart  and used in multiple layers, I added a pink gemstone to the larger layers.

I lightly applied some glue to the blue roses and then dipped into glitter.

Underneath this top corner and the main pick a placed some cheesecloth. The metal embellishments I purchased from the Paper Magic stall at the local paperific show in August.

The stickpin I made from random beads, pearls and metal accessories I had in my stash.

Scrap friends color challenge

I created this LO for the "Scrap friends" color challenge.  The color board is awesome and I chose to concentrate on using red with a splash of blue.

I did lots of background work with stencils, texture paste and clear rock candy distress crackle paint.  After the crackle paint dried I went back with a little red watercolor and painted over some random spots and the crackle paint getting right into the groves.

All the flowers are handmade except the 3 plain daisies,  I sprayed the flowers in the same red dylusions spray so they blend into each other.

Christmas cards

Today I started on some Christmas cards. It is my first time using KAISERfusion markers.

I came across this cute Santa mouse on the Whimsy Stamps blog hop and I just couldn't resist.

Two cards down, many more to go.

SUNSET

This month I decided to join in with the swirlydoos "Round Robin Challenge"
This is my interpretation of "shadows". The picture is of my Mum waiting for the sunset with my DS6, DS4, DD3.

A closeup of the quote I found on pinterest.

A closeup of the flower cluster, I made the aqua/blue rose from graphic45 paper and the blue one is paper from Maja Design with a small bought rose in the middle.

Another closeup of handmade flowers, another aqua/blue rose and the lace flower with the beautiful pearl in the middle to finish it off.

CHAINED TO MY HEART

This is my most recent LO for the Swirlydoos "sweetest thing sketch challenge"
This challenge is open to everyone so why not pop over and check it out.
Swirlydoos Sweetest Thing Sketch Challenge

Instead of using flowers as the embelli cluster I decided to use chain and metal embellis from my stash, I included all colors of metal. Gold, antique gold, and silver, that way I was able to mix and match. And to add a little color I glued a couple of small flowers to the two chains on either side of the main chain cluster.

The two doves symbolise the union between me and my hubby.

A small bit of journalling showing why I chose the title and used chains.
